Rev. 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet [are] like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last [to be] more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have [already] hold fast till I come. 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The Grade card for the church at Thyatira was given by the Lord and delivered by the messenger John. God cares enough to look and he loves enough to show us where we have been good and were there is room for improvement.

1. Works (that which we do in response to what the Lord has done for us and what we do because we love him.) The Grade for works is A+. The works of the Thyatirans had grown from what it was in the beginning.

2. Love (our choice to love God and to love others without conditions.)

The Grade for love is A.

3. Faith (our belief in a God that we cannot see which causes us to work for him and give to him our lives.) The Grade for faith is A.
4. Service (our service to others. When we are willing to give ourselves for the good of someone else.) The Grade for Service is A.
5. Perseverance (our willingness to persist to serve the Lord even when conditions for our continued work for him our not favorable.) The Grade for Perseverance is A.
6. Holiness (a dedication to the principles of the Lord for his servants who have given themselves to him.) The Grade for Holiness is C. The church had allowed evil to invade the Church. They had permitted a woman to teach that ungodliness is good, but those who serve the Lord must be holy as he desires. They had failed to resist the devil and had allowed him to enter into their midst and teach. The principles of ungodliness had become apart of their church. This is accomplished today in the form of tolerance. Tolerance is lifted up as the highest principle even over the holiness that the Lord desires from his people. Some were holy but not all.

1Pet 1:16 for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

Titus 2:12 (KJS) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

7. Hearts and Minds. The Lord cares enough to look. The one who cares enough to look and to show us the results gives the Grade for hearts and minds. The Grade for Hearts and Minds is ? This depends upon the state of the individual. Each grade is individual. For each of us the Lord wants to bring this grade up as high as he can bring it.
8. Repentance. The desire to turn from our way to go with the Lord in our life, in our church, and in our community. Turn from our ways to go with God. Or, we will suffer the consequences. He cares enough to change us and to warn us of the bad choices that we make. The Lord had warned those in the church to change but some could and some would not. The Grade for Repentance is ? Each individual will graded upon their decision to change or not.

Will we change? Will we grow? Will we go with the Lord in his efforts to save us and others from our sins? Will we hold one another accountable?
